NEW YORK GOLDEN APPLE AWARD ANNOUNCES SUMMER 2002 WINNERS

Outstanding Jewelry-Marketing Programs Will Be Awarded During The JA New York
Summer Show -
NEW YORK Stunning collections,
innovative designs, and magnificent jewels are just part of the draw at the JA
New York summer show. It is creative marketing for the jewelry on display that
keeps the show floor packed with buyers. Annually, JA New York presents Golden
Apple Awards to exhibitors with outstanding year-round marketing programs leading
to the summer show, held at the Jacob Javits Convention Center July 28 31, 2002.
According to Drew Lawsky, JA New York show director, “Now in it’s sixth competition,
the Golden Apple Awards received hundreds of entrants for the competition and
gained international awareness. It has set a standard and increased the marketing
efforts of all the exhibitors at JA New York. We hope to keep encouraging exhibitors
to gear up for a positive JA New York experience.”
The Golden Apple Awards
recognize participants for the use of Innovation, Sparkle, Fusion and Allure in
their marketing efforts.
The Golden Apple Award for Innovation will be
presented to Mueen Saheed of Regent Fine Jewels Sri Lanka, the exhibitor with
the most creative and original marketing and publicity. To launch in the U.S.,
Regent created a video of new work to send to buyers, and created a JA New York-specific
Web site featuring designs and new collections launched at JA New York, news and
events, competitions and a raffle for customers.
